tml will be da last day in paeds :(
if tml's attachment was nt cancel la..
due to swine flu,we might be send home anytime..
MOH has elevated Sg’s alert level from "green" to "yellow" to guard against swine flu..
n we're told if we're nt on attachment,
den we will be going back to sch..
kkh alr set up visitor's log..
nw wan take lift, hv to queue up haha..
we had no choice but to use da staff's lift if we dun wan to be caught in da 'queue'..
and we're also told nt to wear uniforms to hospital..
we shld only chg into our uniform in da hosp..
and chg out of our uniforn before leaving da hosp..
n now we have to wear face mask all da time in da ward..
we also hv to take our temp b4 starting work and b4 going home..
anyone wif fever will be send home..
it looks so serious..
is da swine flu gonna be as bad as sars??
only time will tell..

ytd had my book signed by da lecturer..

she had a 1-to-1 talk wif everyone..

i was suprised tat she gv me gd remarks..

i tot she was going to reprimand me wen it was my turn..

she keep saying we're all nt proactive in finding skills except for hazlin..
but on da 1st day, she told us nt much skills to learn..

n mainly observing only..

den y nw de sudden expectation of us??

anyway.. wat she told me was similiar to jeslyn n joanne which i found out much later..

though i was quite satisfied n happy at 1st..

but nw i can only say, she gv everyone almost da same remarks XD

was damn happy wen she said she can see a lot of potentials in me lo..

haiz.. in de end she told others da same thing XD

haha.. nvm.. at least i was happy tat she said tat..

den told me to learn in depth lo..

nd find opportunities for more hands-on..

she said tat she can see i'm quite guarded -.-lll

den i told her i dun really dare to hands-on here..

cos tis is paeds.. infants n kids -.-lll

anyway.. i took her advice XD

n today i did a baby bath XD

(well it was sponging cos da baby had lumbar puncture)

poor baby.. only 2mths old :(

n i did MDI XD

also thx to da SN for giving me da opportunity to do it..

den i also assisted n observed hw da IV cannula was inserted in babies :(

is was done by da doc n i only help to gt da swaps n syringe..

also help to hold da baby..

cos baby's vein is hard to find..

so da doc tried a lot of times but unsuccessful lo..

den da baby gt poked many times :(

n da baby keep crying n struggling..

n da doc also feel so sry for da baby..

she keep saying sry to da baby -.-lll

poor baby :'(

i'm glad tat today i tried to do something new XD

perhaps i might end up in paeds XD

holiday is ending..
n sch starts wif attachment..

i hope we gt to work tgt tis time :)

ntg exciting happen during da hols..
but at least i finished da 2bks i've been neglecting XD
attachment's starting to won't hv time to read anymore..
been mapling too.. haha.. but tat hv to stop too..
been watching jap dramas n movies too..
at last i watched Gokusen3 (thx andy :) )

well.. attachment starts on mon..
hope all goes well..
